Le groupe de brutal death metal MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY sortira son nouvel album, intitulé Unterweger, le 12 novembre 2021 via Transcending Obscurity Records.
Ce nouvel opus sera le deuxième de la formation et succèdera à Anger Mismanagement paru le 31 janvier 2014.
Pour ce second album, le chanteur George ‘Misanthrope’ Wilfinger accueille un nouveau line up composé de deux nouveaux guitaristes, Joe Gatsch et Shoi Sen (DE PROFUNDIS), du bassiste Sam Terrak ainsi que du batteur Cédric Malebolgia (PUTRIDITY).
Ajouter à cela, le titre « The Mysterious Hollywood Hat-Trick » est exécuté avec la participation de Julien Truchan (BENIGHTED) au chant, et le morceau « Miami Vice – Miami Gold » a pour vocaliste Sven De Calue (ABORTED).
Unterweger est un album conceptuel basé sur la vie choquante du tueur en série transatlantique Jack Unterweger. L’œuvre se veut transmettre l’horreur des crimes commis de manière palpable, percutante et mémorable.
L’artwork de cet album est signé Remy Cuveillier (CRYPTOPSY).
