Tom Morello a sorti son nouvel album, intitulé The Atlas Underground Flood, le 3 décembre 2021 via Mom + Pop Music.
Il s’agit d’un album à voir en jumelage avec The Atlas Underground Fire paru le 15 octobre dernier. Il voit de nouveaux collaborateurs avec Nathaniel Rateliff, Jim James, IDLES, Ben Harper, Alex Lifeson, Kirk Hammett, X Ambassadors, Barns Courtney, Manchester Orchestra, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness et d’autres. A propos du nouvel album, Morello a déclaré : « The Atlas Underground Flood termine ce que The Atlas Underground Fire a commencé. Fire et Flood sont mes ‘London Calling’. Admirant les Clash à leur apogée, j’ai cherché à faire un double album où l’intention artistique supplante le genre. J’ai cherché à forger une vision centrale pour lier ensemble une ambition musicale intrépide, sauvage et de grande envergure avec un formidable groupe de collaborateurs. Et bien sûr, il y a beaucoup de solos de guitare« .
