« How to eat before going to play Metal? »

I was looking for a catch-phrase to launch this first Heavy Metal Food show – and Maurizio himself suggested it to me during our metallic and culinary meeting, in the half-shadow of the Trabendo (a Parisian concert hall) dressing rooms, when Kataklysm stopped by our lovely French capital city on January 25th.

Kataklysm is THE death metal band from Quebec. Founded in 1992, the band regularly travels all over the U.S., Canada and Europe to bring their “Northern hyperblast” sound to the masses. I know that these European tours, so far from their home country, are not always easy, and the numerous shows are physically draining. I invite you to join us to discover Kataklysm’s life on the band, learn how the singer keeps a healthy diet and how he deals with the temptations, rest periods and discipline imposed on him by his manager.

So settle down for 20 minutes for a taste of this new show. Stay Hungry. Stay Metal.

Heavy Metal Food : rencontre culinaire avec Maurizio (Kataklysm)

Je cherchais une accroche pour lancer cette première émission du Heavy Metal Food… et c’est Maurizio qui me l’a lancée lors de notre entrevue métallique & culinaire, dans la semi obscurité des loges du Trabendo, lors du passage de Kataklysm dans notre belle capitale française le 25 janvier dernier.

Kataklysm, c’est LE groupe de Death Québécois. Formé en 1992, le combo sillonne régulièrement les Etats-Unis, le Canada et l’Europe avec leur son « Northern Hyperblast ». Je sais que ces tournées à travers l’Europe, loin de chez eux, ne sont pas toujours faciles et les concerts qui s’enchaînent mettent le physique à rude épreuve. Je t’invite à te joindre à nous pour découvrir la vie de Kataklysm sur le route, observer la manière dont le chanteur appréhende son hygiène alimentaire ou comment il gère les tentations, le repos et la discipline que lui impose son manager.
