Hatriot is Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza’s future

For many years following his departure from Exodus, Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza has been dabbling in music, taking part in a few projects here and there with no ambition at a career. As the man tells us in this interview, he knows the current music business and cannot hope to make a living out of a thrash metal project. However, without chucking everything for it, he seems ready to use all his free time to work on the long-term development of Hatriot, an old-school thrash band, where he plays with his two sons, Nicholas and Cody.

The man seems particularly proud of the music he writes, as well as of the involvement of his sons, with whom he’s been very uncompromising regarding instrument practice (bass and drums respectively) in order to avoid accusations of favouritism.

Hatriot is now Steve’s future.

At the end of the interview, the singer also gets things straight regarding his relationship with his former Exodus mates.

Hatriot : le futur de Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza

Durant de nombreuses années suite à son départ d’Exodus, Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza a travaillé la musique en dilettante, participant ici et là à quelques projets sans ambition de carrière. L’homme nous le dit en interview, il connaît le business de la musique à l’heure actuelle et ne peut espérer vivre à plein temps d’un projet de thrash metal. Cependant, sans aller jusqu’à tout plaquer pour ça, il semble qu’il soit prêt à investir tout son temps libre dans un développement à long terme pour Hatriot, un groupe de thrash à l’ancienne, où il joue en famille avec ses deux fils, Nicholas et Cody.

L’homme semble particulièrement fier de la musique qu’il écrit tout comme de la participation de ses fils, avec qui il a été particulièrement intransigeant quant à la pratique de leurs instruments respectifs (basse et batterie) afin de couper court à toutes formes d’accusation de favoritisme.

Hatriot est désormais le futur de Steve.

En fin d’interview, le chanteur met également les choses au clair quant à ses relations avec ses anciens collègues d’Exodus.
