ALLEGAEON a sorti son quatrième album, intitulé Proponent For Sentience, le 23 septembre 2016 via Metal Blade Records.

L’album a été produit par Dave Otero (CATTLE DECAPITATION) et voit la participation du chanteur Bjorn « Speed » Strid (SOILWORK) et du guitariste Benjamin Ellis (membre live de SCAR SYMMETRY) sur la chanson « Proponent for Sentience III – The Extermination ». Il s’agit par ailleurs du premier enregistrement avec le nouveau chanteur Riley McShane qui a rejoint le groupe l’an passé.
